Cinnamon has motivated many historical voyages leading to discovery of New World by Christopher Columbus and Vasco De Gamma to Sri Lanka & South India.In the ancient times the most important spice export of Sri Lanka has been the Ceylon cinnamon. Every part of the tree, namely, bark, leaves, buds, flowers, fruits, wood, and roots are being used.
